Cemetery Trustees

Members Present: Ruth Hammen, Fred Shaw
Flags: Paul will order 2 gross (288) flags to be placed on veteran’s graves for Memorial Day.
Maintenance: Fred will call Steve of Steve’s Quality Services to see if he has begun cleanup of the cemeteries. He will also remind Steve that his insurance voucher needs to be filed with the town in May.
Leavitt Cemetery: As of this date, the roadways at the cemetery are still too soft to allow vehicular traffic. Trustees will be checking the cemetery regularly and will open the cemetery as soon as possible.
Veteran Burial Plots: Ruth had created maps of the Pineground, Leavitt, Knowlton and Brown Cemeteries highlighting veteran burial plots and their names. These will be used to place flags on graves prior to Memorial Day. Maps will be created for all other cemeteries that have veteran burials. These maps will be filed at the Town Hall.
Perry Brothers Monument: The Trustees have received a contract from this vendor for 2015 to install four initialed cemetery corner stones for $200 per plot.
